Profile – Gourish Chakravorty

Gourish Chakravorty is the Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of Ion Exchange Safic (Pty) Ltd, a Total Water Management Company, with technical back up from Ion Exchange India Ltd.

Mr Chakravorty did his Masters in Science specialising in physical chemistry from Delhi University and has completed courses in Export Marketing. He has participated in various international conferences and presented papers in the related field.

Mr Chakravorty has travelled extensively world over and developed business relationship with several engineering, contracting companies and distributors for water treatment components in Asia, Europe and Africa.

Mr Chakravorty has developed business in various countries in Asia & Africa and has set up operations in Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria.

Mr Chakravorty joined Ion Exchange(India)Ltd, in December 1990. He was promoted to the position of Vice President of Ion Exchange(India)Ltd. He has held various key positions in International Business and Exports in the company.

Mr Chakravorty is a member of various socio-voluntary organisations in South Africa. He is currently holds the position of President, India Club South Africa.
