Profile – Nishant Saxena

Nishant Saxena is the Regional CFO and Director – Business Development for CIPLA

He has a MBA from IIM Lucknow and BE from NIT Trichy.

Before joining Cipla Nishant held multiple senior finance roles in Procter & Gamble and was an entrepreneur for 7 years.
He has lived and worked in Japan, Singapore, Mumbai, Delhi, Philippines and South Africa.

In his current role he has the twin responsibilities of Regional CFO and Director – Business Development (a role previously designated Deputy CEO) at Cipla South Africa. He leads a team of 60 people including respective country CFOs, BD Heads, BI Head and CLO.

Cipla is one of the largest global generic pharmaceutical companies, with US$2.5bn revenues and 25,000 employees and presence across 100 countries. It is based in Mumbai and is listed on BSE.

The Cape Town head office runs Cipla’s operations in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa and is an USD600m business spread across 12 countries.
