ASX-listed Critical Resources has announced the immediate appointment of Tim Wither as Managing Director. This decision reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing its leadership as it navigates growth opportunities.
With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, Tim Wither has worked in several regions including Australia, India, Africa, and South America. Prior to his current role, he served as the Managing Director for Maximus Resources, where he successfully led a $3 million lithium joint venture with the Korean government agency KOMIR. He also established a memorandum of understanding with LG Energy Solution.
Maximus Resources was eventually acquired by Astral Resources through a $31 million off-market takeover. Critical Resources’ chairperson, Bilal Ahmad, expressed confidence in Wither’s capacity to bring valuable operational insights to the company. He noted that since joining Critical Resources, Wither has significantly contributed to the company’s growth strategies, enhancing its position in critical mineral commodities.
Ahmad also emphasized the board’s anticipation of collaborating with Wither to effectively execute their strategic plans, aiming for sustainable value creation for shareholders.
