Gurunanak Agriculture IPO Launch: Latest GMP and Key Details Inside

Gurunanak Agriculture India is set to debut on the stock market on October 1. However, indications from the grey market suggest there’s no premium expected for this listing. Currently, the shares are trading at a grey market premium (GMP) of 0%, implying the stock may list close to its issue price of ₹75 per share. As such, investors should prepare for potential modest returns during the initial phase. The company’s long-term prospects will ultimately play a crucial role in its post-listing performance.

The IPO, valued at ₹28.8 crores, consists entirely of a fresh issue amounting to 38.4 lakh shares. The offer was accessible to investors from September 24 to September 26 and saw a modest overall subscription rate of 1.7 times. Retail investors showed heightened interest, subscribing 3.1 times their allocated share, while non-institutional participation was notably low at only 0.3 times.

Gurunanak Agriculture specializes in manufacturing agricultural machinery, which includes threshers, harvesters, reapers, and rotavators. The company operates a facility that spans over four hectares in Durg, Chhattisgarh, serving both domestic and international markets.

The company’s distribution network extends across seven Indian states, supported by a total of 48 dealers. Additionally, Gurunanak Agriculture exports its products to various countries, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nigeria, and Uganda. To enhance its visibility, the company takes part in numerous agricultural trade fairs and exhibitions.

From a financial perspective, Gurunanak Agriculture has recorded steady revenues, approximately ₹44 crore for FY24 and FY25. Moreover, it has experienced a significant increase in profits, with the profit after tax surging 147% to ₹6.1 crore in FY25, up from ₹2.5 crore the previous year, thanks to improved profit margins.

The performance of the stock following its listing will largely depend on investors’ perceptions of Gurunanak Agriculture’s growth strategies, including plans to establish a harvester manufacturing unit and broaden its product range.
