Jamna Auto Industries Explores Expansion into South African Market

Johannesburg, South Africa – August 14, 2025

Jamna Auto Industries, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicle suspension systems, is reportedly considering expansion into the South African market. The company, headquartered in India, has been actively seeking new markets to diversify its export portfolio. While specific details about the South African venture remain unconfirmed, industry sources suggest that Jamna Auto is evaluating potential partnerships and distribution channels within the region.

This strategic move aligns with Jamna Auto’s recent efforts to broaden its global footprint. Earlier this year, the company showcased its suspension products at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Europe, marking its first participation in the prestigious event. Sunil Laroiya, President & CTO of Jamna Auto Industries, emphasized the importance of direct engagement with European Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to establish a presence in the market. In addition to its European initiatives, Jamna Auto has been involved in significant developments in India. In May 2025, the company announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, to enhance its product offerings and technological capabilities. While Jamna Auto Industries has not officially confirmed its plans for South Africa, the company’s proactive approach to international expansion indicates a potential interest in entering the South African automotive market. Further announcements are anticipated as the company finalizes its strategic initiatives.
