Join Us for the First Africa Food Show in Cape Town, June 2025!
Welcoming over 350 exhibitors and attracting around 6,000 visitors from more than 25 countries, the inaugural Africa Food Show is set to emerge as a leading event for the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector in Africa.
This B2B gathering will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from June 10 to 12, 2025. It aims to become the continent’s most influential platform for F&B sourcing and innovation. With an impressive array of international representation, including 15 global pavilions, the Africa Food Show offers African businesses a vital gateway to international markets.
According to insights from the African Development Bank, the F&B market in Africa is projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030, fueled by rapid economic and urban development. To support this growth, dmg events, in collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Centre, is launching the Africa Food Show as part of the esteemed Gulfood series. This initiative builds on the success of Gulfood—the world’s largest F&B exhibition held in Dubai—and the well-respected Saudi Food Show.
“The Africa Food Show will spotlight the continent’s untapped potential and help businesses explore numerous opportunities within the local and international F&B landscapes,” states Joshua Low, Vice President of dmg events South Africa. “By addressing emerging trends and challenges, this event will serve as a comprehensive guide to enhancing Africa’s presence on the global stage.”
A Diverse Range of Exhibitors
The Africa Food Show is poised to showcase products from over 350 exhibitors, featuring a wide array of international pavilions. Countries such as the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Canada, India, and Singapore will be prominently featured.
Additionally, major South African brands, including Catercorp, Barry Callebaut, Fair Cape, and Unilever, will also be represented. “This show provides a platform for remarkable local products and methods to gain the recognition they deserve,” adds Low. “Africa is embracing the future of food, and innovative businesses are eager to harness emerging trends for sustained success.”
Africa Food Summit: Exploring Sustainable Food Solutions
Concurrent with the Africa Food Show, the Africa Food Summit will run as a three-day conference focused on the future of African F&B, emphasizing “transforming healthy foods for climate and health.”
Attendees can anticipate insightful lectures from distinguished speakers, including Maxwell Gomera, Director of Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services Branch at the United Nations, and Stacy Saggers, Commercial Growth Director for South Africa at Kantar. Notable figures like Lorraine Makura from McCain South Africa and Miles Kubeka, Founder of Wakanda Food Accelerator, are also slated to present.
One of the highlights of the Africa Food Summit will be the unveiling of the much-anticipated “Industry Index.” This survey, conducted by the Africa Food Show in collaboration with Circana, seeks to gather valuable insights from the F&B sector regarding various trends and challenges.
