State Bank of India Expands Its Footprint: New Services Launched in South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – November 24, 2025

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the opening of two new branches in South Africa, located in Chatsworth and Laudium (Pretoria). This expansion brings SBI’s total presence in the country to seven branches, including existing locations in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, and Lenasia. The decision to broaden its footprint aligns with the growing trade and economic ties between India and South Africa, further solidifying the bilateral relationship.
