The Board of Sun TV Network Ltd. has taken a significant step by approving the complete acquisition of Northern Superchargers Ltd. This London-based cricket franchise participates in The Hundred, a professional league organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
The transaction is valued at £100.5 million, which is roughly ₹1,161 crore.
Northern Superchargers reported a revenue of £1.89 million (about ₹22 crore) in FY24 and is currently operating at a profit.
This acquisition comes with a considerable valuation of 53 times its revenue and is anticipated to finalize by December 31, 2025.
