JAC Motors Celebrates 300,000th T-Series Bakkie Production Milestone in South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – June 11, 2024

JAC Motors has achieved a significant milestone with the production of its 300,000th T-Series double-cab bakkie, underscoring the growing demand for its vehicles in South Africa and beyond. This achievement coincides with the company’s 60th anniversary, marking over six decades of automotive innovation. (citizen.co.za)

The T-Series, which includes the T6, T8, and T9 models, has been well-received in the South African market. The T9, in particular, has been lauded for its car-like driving experience and exceptional value, starting at R549,900. In addition to its success in South Africa, JAC Motors has expanded its international footprint, exporting vehicles to over 132 countries. The company has also ventured into the electric vehicle market, unveiling a battery-powered version of the T9 with a driving range of 500 km at the 2024 Beijing Automotive Show.
