Acquisition of Isoplus

In July 2017, MSA acquired Isoplus, a leading hair styling brand in South Africa, for 75 million South African Rand (approximately ₹36 crore). This acquisition included manufacturing facilities, working capital, and all intellectual property rights associated with Isoplus. In September 2023, Marico Limited announced significant executive changes affecting its South African operations. Mr. Sanjay Mishra, the Chief Operating Officer for India Business and CEO of New Business, resigned to pursue opportunities outside the organization, with his last working day set for December 15, 2023. Mr. Vaibhav Bhanchawat, previously Chief Operating Officer for South East Asia & South Africa, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for India & Foods Business, effective October 1, 2023. Biosphere Reserve Declaration

In August 2018, the Groot Marico area in the North West province was declared a biosphere reserve. Covering 450,000 hectares, this reserve is one of two in the province and is recognized for its unique ecosystems and biodiversity.
