Supplier Expands Reach Deeper into Africa with New Order Moves

Turnkey crushing and quarrying solutions provider, Gold Rock Projects, has finalized the production of a new two-stage, three-product aggregate plant called the Marsay 100 TPH, specifically for a client in Nigeria.

The order recently departed from its supplier in India and arrived at Apapa port in Nigeria last month.

Expanding Presence in Africa

Gold Rock Projects, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) catering to open-pit mining clients throughout Africa, is increasing its footprint on the continent, according to executive director Michael Marsay.

Scheduled for arrival at the port later this month, the plant will then be transported overland to reach the client by mid-August.

Site Preparation and Installation

Preparations are in progress at the site, which includes all necessary civil engineering work to ensure it’s ready for the plant’s installation upon arrival.

“Once delivered, Gold Rock Projects will manage the entire installation and commissioning on site,” Marsay notes.

New Equipment Supplied

Gold Rock Projects has also delivered and commissioned a new Marsay TM750P semi-mobile jaw crusher for a gravel road rehabilitation project in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province. Since its March delivery, the crusher has consistently produced 400 tons of 80 mm product each day.

The client needed a single-stage crusher that could handle a substantial feed size for rehabilitating gravel roads on a large game farm.

Featuring a crushing rate of up to 50 tons per hour, the TM750P was chosen for its ability to manage a feed size of up to 450 mm while outputting approximately 80 mm in one pass.

Marsay mentions that the client expresses satisfaction with the crusher’s operating costs, durability, and reliability.

New Agency Secured

Gold Rock Projects has obtained the agency and distribution rights for a new line of crushers manufactured in India. Marsay highlights that this new range will be branded as Marsay Crushers and Screens for the African market.

The company plans to include these crushers in their orders from Nigerian clients and for other projects across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and North Africa.

“This agency agreement positions Gold Rock Projects to offer a broader selection of high-quality crushing and screening products to the SADC market at competitive prices, enhancing our commitment to excellence and innovation,” he adds.

Future Initiatives

Gold Rock Projects is actively engaged in several significant initiatives aimed for completion soon. These include numerous OEM aggregate plants and front-end copper project offerings in Zambia, as well as growing interest in the development and operation of coal beneficiation facilities in Malawi and Tanzania.

In South Africa, Gold Rock Projects is focusing on replacement crushers and smaller units designed for recycling, reflecting the market’s evolving needs and an emphasis on sustainability.

They aspire to become a preferred supplier and equipment partner by providing modular two- and three-stage crushing plants with capacities ranging from 100 to 250 tons per hour.
